This new 5-story clinical support tower was constructed on top of an existing 2-story superstructure while maintaining public access to the existing hospital. This 160,000 square foot concrete structure was built with a brick veneer exterior to match the existing hospital campus. Completion of level one and two of the existing superstructure was included in this project. Level one being the new Emergency Medicine Department and level two houses the Ambulatory Surgery Facility, as well as, a waiting room addition to the MICU area.
This project was awarded a Mississippi Associated Builders and Contractors Merit Award for Commercial General Construction over $15 million.
