Mississippi State University, South Residence Halls

This four story, 128,000 sf, New Residence Hall is a continuation of the long term development plan for student housing on the MSU campus. This project is located in the Southern portion of campus adjacent to three existing residence halls and provides housing for 350 students. Each room is double occupancy with it’s own bathroom and features wireless internet, study rooms, individual temperature control and card-reader locks rather than traditional keys. Spaces also include small food and beverage court, classroom, meeting space along with other support spaces that complete the living learning community setting. The residence hall has a mens wing and a womens wing with a shared common area. The structure of the building consist of a poured concrete foundation, wood framed system with a standing seam metal roof. The primary exterior materials are masonry with glass-fiber reinforced concrete.
